Kyzyl-Kiya Water Sub-Project — PIU Support including Engineering, Design and Contracts Supervision, EBRD

Kyzyl-Kiya Water Company (the “Company”), a municipal enterprise wholly owned by the City, provides water supply services to the whole city. While most of households are connected to the water supply system, its operation efficiency is very low and water loss is 78 per cent because of long standing underinvestment since the collapse of the Soviet Union. In 2014, the City approached the Bank with a request to finance the rehabilitation of the water supply improvements in the City (the “Project”).

is to facilitate the timely and effective implementation of the Project by rendering assistance to the Company in the implementation of the Project, including design, all aspects of procurement and disbursement, and environmental and social (“E&S”) requirements.

► Overall project management support as required;
► Design the works and prepare technical specifications for goods;
► Arrangement of preparation of the prequalification, if any, and tender documents for procurement of works and goods;
► Arrangement of the tendering procedure for works and goods, including evaluation of tenders and drafting tender evaluation reports;
► Administration of contract implementation including, where appropriate, works supervision or assisting with works supervision; and,
► Arrangement of timely disbursements under the contracts
